The config.qsc.igi2 is a computer program which allows you to configure and manage your Quicksilver shortcuts, menus, and toolbars within Quicksilver on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or higher. More than just a shortcut to the settings window, it can be used as an alternative means for viewing and modifying the preferences of Quicksilver helper components such as QuickConverter, QuickTime Player and Finder under Snow Leopard without using Terminal or manually editing configuration files This useful little application has been around since 2009 but until recently was only available for those who were subscribed to Apple's developer support list (and not everyone is eligible). Now that we're in 2011 the config.qsc. igi2 is being released to the general public under a new license. To use the config.qsc.igi2 you must have a recent version of Quicksilver, and a legitimate license for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or later, installed on your computer. Version 1.1 of the config.qsc. igi2 works correctly on both PowerPC and Intel based Macs running 10.6 Snow Leopard or later, and does not require a developer's license to use. For older versions of Quicksilver, or for Intel-based 10.5 Leopard computers the config.qsc.igi is available. An older version of the config tool can also be used on Tiger/PPC based computers to configure some help providers under Tiger, but may not work with all of them due to Tigers limited support for extensions that use AppleScript. The config application is a program which runs directly from the command line interface, and as such does not have a graphical user interface. As such, it makes no use of the interface provided by the Mac OS X Application Bundle (documents, etc.) or System Preferences. Instead, this program is run from within Finder via a command prompt window. To open the command prompt window double click a folder in Finder and provide a space and then a slash. The next slash will contain a filename after it to be run, replace any spaces with double quotes "" and replace square brackets [] with round brackets {}.The config.qsc.igi2 is designed for use on Macs running Snow Leopard or later along with Billing Service for Quicksilver which allows funds to be charged from Apple's billing system for purchases charged from Quicksilver. It is currently only available for US based users. A limited number of users have reported success with configuring other providers by means other than the original method outlined in the manual, but documentation for this is sparse. The following features are provided by the config.qsc.igi2 utility: The following things can be done with a properly configured Quicksilver Setup:Setup defaults the following everyday essentials:Summary of configurable settings:Since QS Setup cannot be used to manually edit your QS shortcuts an alternative facility is provided within this program to make changes to all custom extensions and preferences from within Finder. cfa1e77820
